can feel so heavy during these summer months but we have a solution. Our creative and talented make-up and hair stylist Antwan Jones, suggests using a bronzing powder as your foundation for a more lightweight coverage and sun kissed glow!
From the Eyes of the Intern: First Photo Shoot Complete!
Hello All!
My first photo shoot has officially been completed. The day finally arrived and everything went very smoothly. After weeks of planning, I met all the ladies involved in helping this shoot come together at the office and the preparation began right away. As I was busy steaming all the clothing, make-up and hair stylist Rachelle Gleason quickly went to work on model Taryn Grover. With my concept board close by, we quickly brought my inspiration pictures to life.
The amazing and talented photographer Lauren Guy from Lauren Guy Photography arrived and we left on schedule to head to our location to start shooting. With all three outfit changes, along with changing the hair and make-up for each look we were able to just catch all the sun remaining for the day. The outfits came together so perfectly and I was so pleased with the looks, special thanks to Francescas Collections in Highland Village for allowing me to pull from their store.
For my first photo shoot, I was very lucky to have such a fun and easy going crew to work with. I will admit it was not an easy day to plan...but I am so thrilled to say that I have styled and organized my first photo shoot, and it was a blast! The pictures turned out so gorgeous and I am beyond ecstatic with the final results.

Tuesday Tips @10am - Say MUAH!
Antwan Jones is back this to share another helpful tip on how to get the perfect look for your lips. He likes to use lip liner as a lipstick all over the lip to achieve the perfect color. First apply a lip balm to help spread the liner, apply lip liner all over the lip, rub lips together and MUAH....you have created a stunning lips! It's a quick tip with staying power.

With only a few days leading up to the photo shoot I am pleased to say that I sent out the final details to everyone involved and picked up the perfect clothes and accessories from Francesca's Collections in Highland Village. With all of the clothes steamed and jewelry layed out we are patiently waiting (and relaxing) until Sunday, when the shoot will take place. Be sure to stay tuned until next week to see the final pictures!

I have not posted in a while, as I have been very busy planning a big project. I received the news that I would be planning and styling my first photo shoot the first day of my internship. I was beyond excited since styling the wardrobe for a photo shoot is exactly what I want to do as my career. As time got closer I kept thinking of ideas for the shoot. I would decide on a theme one day and wake up the next morning with a totally different idea in my head. I would drive by a new location, see a new dress in the store window, or even watch a movie... all of which inspired me to create a new theme. Finally, I decided on a theme and created my concept board which included all the inspiring pictures and ideas I wanted to create for the photo shoot. This included ideas of how I wanted hair, make-up, wardrobe, accessories and location. From there, I was to find the photographer, model and hair/make-up artist that was going to help me bring my shoot to life.
That was the easy part...after browsing half a dozen antique stores and boutiques, I was still looking for the "perfect" items to use in the shoot. I kept looking and eventually found exactly what I was looking for. Now, where is this shoot going to take place? It was after an hour of driving around location scouting that I realized that the location picture I had selected was not going to just appear right in front of my eyes. At the beginning of this project I had no idea how much effort, time and organizing went into planning a photo shoot. With everyone's busy schedules it became stressful organizing a meeting date and time that would work for everyone involved in the shoot. It is not as easy as it looks people!

La Belle Agency hopes that you all had a fantastic long weekend filled with fun, friends, and relaxation. Our tip this week would like to remind you that relaxation is an essential element to maintaining your beauty. So, when there is a holiday, take off from work and relax, play, and enjoy life because life is too short. You do not want to look back 20 years from now and realize that you look old and tired, and didn't even enjoy your life.

Today's tip comes from the noted make-up and hair artist
Antwan Jones. With a portfolio full of beautiful tear sheets we will share some of his beauty secrets with you this week. Antwan suggests using a texturizing spray in your hair that has sea salt in it to make "beachy waves" for the summer. After showering, spray into damp hair and let air dry to get a laid back surfer hair look. Enjoy your summer and stay beautiful.
Tuesday Tips @ 10am: Bye Bye Wrinkles!
Don't feel like bringing out your iron for just a few creases? Try spraying a wrinkle release spray and throwing it in the dryer for about 10 minutes... it will make a huge difference!
Remember, wrinkles are not in cute when your clothes are supposed to be pressed.

Hello Again Beauties!
I can't believe a month has gone by since I started my internship...time really does fly when your having fun! It's been busy but very exciting at the La Belle Agency in the past month and I am all settled in now...I think. I have been contacting future clients, sat in on more interviews with future stylist, met some of our awesome "family of stylists" (pictured to the right) and even took over half of the office by bringing in my Keurig machine so I can make my morning coffee and tea!
I can't wait to update you all about the most thrilling photo shoot I've done so far. Last week, I had the privilege to go on board a yacht (yes, a real one with a bedroom and a kitchen) which was provided by Yacht-O-Fun Charters on Lake Lewisville for a glamorous fashion photo shoot for Designs by Whitney Bracey.
We woke up with the birds and arrived at the hotel, half asleep, at 4:30 in the morning to begin hair and make-up. After a few cups of coffee and a couple cans of Red Bull, we were ready to begin the day. The models put on their stunning bathing suits Whitney designed and the whole team of photographers, videographers, models, and stylist got into our cars as we began our caravan to Pier 121 Marina. We met up with our captain, Chuck Raines and boarded the yacht. The models put on their jewelry, spray tans and smiles while the captain drove the boat out into the water and the photographer, Iris Swope started shooting immediately afterwards.
Spending an afternoon on a yacht is not what I was expecting to be doing when I was applying for internships. But I am in no way complaining! It was such a fun day and an eye-opening experience to see how much time and planning goes into shooting a look book full of amazing pictures. There is a lot of behind the scenes work involved that I had no idea took place...who knew tan accelerator and glitter hairspray even existed?
I absolutely loved being involved with this photo shoot and I look forward to more photo shoots to come!

June is here ladies...that means very high temperatures. Ditch the thick foundation, it's too hot for that! Mix a powered bronzer with your favorite SPF facial moisturizer to make your own lightweight tinted moisturizer.
